'Our Beautiful Wild' Staffordshire Moorlands Film Screening
Thank you for joining Alana, Xander and Ed in attending the Staffordshire Moorlands film premiere of 'Our Beautiful Wild' a Young Voices For Nature film created by young people from across the UK with support from the RSPB, National Trust and WWF.
'Our Beautiful Wild' invites you to embark on a powerful journey of youth led action for UK nature. Join us as we dive into the inspiring stories of young changemakers making a difference in their communities. The film will ignite a passion and leave you inspired to take action and share your own stories.
Ed, Alana and Xander celebrated the launch of the film followed by a Q&A panel on Wednesday 29th November 2023. 7pm at the Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek, Staffordshire Moorlands.
The UK's wildlife is amazing - but it is in crisis. Over the last 50 years, 38 million birds have vanished from our skies. 97% of our wildflower meadows have been lost, and a quarter of all our mammals are now at risk of extinction. We can't just stand aside and watch this devastation continue.
The film is part of Save Our Wild Isles, working together to protect and restore UK nature.

Who is the film aimed at?
The film is for anyone interested in doing more to help nature and climate action. It has been written and created by young people, so the primary audience is young people. The film is suitable for all ages.
Film run time
The film is 20 minutes in length. The film will be followed by a Q&A panel.
I want to do more in the local area, how do I start?
Get involved with community groups like Moorlands Climate Action, help to volunteer at local nature reserves with RSPB, Wildlife Trust, Severn Trent, etc.

Over the past few years Staffordshire has seen increasing flooding from heavy rainfall, droughts from increasing heat, and wildfires.
Leading to environmental implications by directly impact species habitats.
Residents can impact their home areas
Residents of Staffordshire can collaborate with local people, businesses, councils, and communities to help mitigate the extreme weather events caused by climate change.
Climate change is a local issue
Climate change is increasing our seasonal temperatures which is having a visible impact across Staffordshire, as well as, across the globe.
We need nature-based solutions from the top, but we also need you, the grassroots of the community, to help.
